Nathan's Robot Website

As part of the TAFE DIploma course I was required to build a small robot that could navigate its way through a maze.

My Robot was constructed using a polycarbonate plate.

Most of the running gear was made by Tamiya, I used their wheels, gearbox and motors.

A small caster wheel was used at the front, as the steering was controlled by rear wheels being turned together or opposite each other.

I used Sanyo Infra Red range sensors as the 'eyes' of the robot and a Picaxe microcontoller project board as the 'brain'.

The 'brain' was programmed using the Picaxe program, which uses a BASIC programming langauge.
